A Baby Gift for One of my Sweet Friends!

I have a "Go-To" gift for baby showers. I LOVE making baby changing quilts. Over the years, I have gotten better and better about being able to personalize these gifts. Here lately, I made a baby changing quilt for one of my friends I have known for what seems like forever. She is naming her sweet baby girl Memphis.

I used Heat-N-Bond Ultra to appliqué her name on to the quilt. I am fairly new to the whole "appliquéing" process. SO, this was an experience! However, I think it came out cute!

I used the a modified "bow tie" quilt pattern (which was designed on my EQ7 software -- as you can tell, I LOVE EQ7!) Although the piecing of this quilt was very tedious and time consuming... I had a BLAST making it! I hope little Memphis enjoys her changing quilt!

My "Joy" Christmas Quilt

As many of you know, I am a writer on the blog Wee Share. This past November, we hosted the 2012 Holiday Gift Guide. I had the incredible opportunity to review fabric from the Fat Quarter Shop. If you have never heard of this shop before -- you will want to check it out! They have the most ADORABLE fabric collections around.

Even though this quilt is packed full of "Christmas" fabrics, I still keep it out on my couch to use all year round. I absolutely LOVE it! I used my EQ7 quilt designing software to create the pattern. Now, THAT is another company you will want to check out! I don't know how I would quilt without it.

To see the entire post for this quilt, head on over to the link below:

T-Shirt Quilts from Designing Tomorrow

I absolutely LOVE making custom t-shirt quilts. Why? Because no two quilts are EVER the same. Each time I get a new set of t-shirts from a client... it tells a story. I love this!

The first five photos are the t-shirt quilt I made for myself. My husband and I use it on our bed on top of our comforter. We LOVE it because it adds an extra layer of warmth to our bed.

At Christmas, I had two clients who wanted lap sized quilts to give as gifts. Here is their final products:

Here is the other clients' quilt:

So, head on over to my Etsy shop and check out the T-shirt quilt listings! As I finish more and more, I will continue to post them here on the blog!
